Is the Huntington Area Encountering the Perfect Storm in Real Estate?

During the winter months of January and February the weather can be quite cold and snow is usually in the forecast. 2012 has been a year to remember thus far. Warmer temperatures and the lack of snow has made it much easier to get around over the last couple months. The current weather conditions coupled with low interest rates have assisted to create a "Perfect Storm" scenario for the local real estate market. To top off the cake, Huntington was recently named as #8 on a list from Housing Predictor for possible appreciation rates in housing compared to other areas across the country. So what does this all mean? It could possibly mean that the spring surge of real estate business might actually be surging earlier this year just like those lilies that are coming up in some of your yards thinking winter is over.

If you are considering moving this year, you might want to start getting ready a little earlier. Start spring cleaning in February and be ahead of the game. Take advantage of the low interest rates and have a great 2012!
